North India's Biggest Hackathon

HackTU 7.0 is the flagship hackathon organized by the Creative Computing Society of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. Scheduled to be held on 7–8 February 2026, this edition continues the legacy of fostering innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence among young developers and entrepreneurs.

HackTU serves as a platform for students from across the country to apply their knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills toward addressing real-world challenges. Participants collaborate in teams to conceptualize, design, and develop functional prototypes that align with diverse problem statements spanning domains such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainability, smart cities, and education technology.

Throughout the event, participants engage with industry professionals, mentors, and experts who guide them in refining their ideas and enhancing their technical execution. The hackathon culminates with project demonstrations and evaluations by a distinguished panel of judges, followed by awards and recognition for outstanding innovations.

With a strong emphasis on creativity, collaboration, and real-world impact, HackTU 7.0 strives to empower students to transform ideas into solutions that drive technological progress and societal advancement.
